Join us for storytime, meet & greet / book signing to celebrate her newest release... The Duck Can't Sleep based on the renowned E. B. White's poem published in The New Yorker in 1928, now appearing for the first time in book form!

• Ryan T. Higgins - RICE Public Library Thurs. August 20th, 6PM  Hop over to Ryan's hometown of Kittery, Maine & experience an intimate showcase of his newest Penelope title... Penelope Rex Vs. The New Kid!

• Local Love - Experience the charm of Portsmouth during Local Love, happening every THIRD THURSDAY from 5-8PM. This exciting new event invites you to explore a variety of local retailers throughout the city, offering an evening of shopping opportunities, special promotions, and unique finds!

• Where's Waldo - All throughout the month of July in Portsmouth, NH @ Select participating local businesses!

• Fairy House Tour - Unfortunately, The Fairy House Tour will not take place in 2026 :(

The Friends of the South End (FOSE) regrets to announce that our fairytale chapter has come to a close. From its humble beginnings in the pocket gardens of Portsmouth, NH, the Fairy House Tour grew into a world-class celebration of creativity, magical building, and community spirit for over 25 years.

We are so grateful to the thousands of visitors who donned fairy wings and gnome hats and eagerly explored the grounds of the Stawbery Banke Museum, John Langdon House, and Prescott Park year after year. Your participation has enabled FOSE to reinvest more than $375,000 into our local schools and event partner organizations.

To our FOSE members, dedicated volunteers, and the countless artists who proved that "if you build it, they will come" - THANK YOU for making the fairy House Tour a treasured memory for so many generations.
